Hi!
We are independent film producers with extensive experience as short-film makers
both in Australia and the UK and we are currently producing a 'no-budget'
(extremely low budget) feature film set in our home town, Canberra. The
film is a comedy and is intended to show the Australian Film Industry that
Canberra is a viable place to make feature films and has the necessary talent to
do so. The film has an ensemble cast of characters and is designed to showcase
Canberra as a fun and vibrant city. We currently have support from the ACT Government as well as some small private investment. However unfortunately at this point we do not have a budget to cover wages and are currently looking for a volunteer cast and crew (including ourselves as writers and producers). We have a number of crew positions to fill and roles to cast including children and adults of various ages. Do you want a small part on the big screen? We are also looking for a large number of Canberrans willing to be extras in some of our larger scenes, including a large family crowd at a carnival on the lake shore, and school kids arriving at the fictional 'George Lazenby High School'. We are also particularly interested in anyone with any type of watercraft (from dragon-boats to paddle steamers) for a scene involving a "fishing fleet".
