How to reduce image size
using Microsoft Paint

When receiving images via email, it is nice to be able to see the whole image in one go without having to scroll left and right and up and down, therefore it is always advisable to keep the image size small at around 750 pixels hight or less. For actors head-shots a hight of around 300 to 500 pixels is preferable.

If you are using Windows you most likely have Microsoft Paint which is more the adequate for the simple task of reducing an image's size.

Step 1:
right-click on the image you wish to reduce, select Open with, and select Paint.
or
open Paint.exe by selecting Start, All Programs, Accessories, Paint. and then open the required file with the File, Open menu.

Step 2:

you should get something
like this
from the Image menu select
Stretch/Skew
enter the same percentage values
in Hight and Width and select
OK
ahhh, that's much better!
now from the File menu,
select Save As

Step 3:
use this newly saved, smaller version, of your photo to attach to emails.
